Registries such as here, provide data to help researchers look for patterns in pedigrees for common Doberman health issues. We focus on collecting information not only on the dogs in the direct line, but also siblings of the parents, grandparents, etc. The larger sample size we are able to provide, the better the odds of finding repeated patterns to help answer questions and establish reliable data to aid in further understanding how to improve the Doberman breed.
